Tired of the frustration of unhelpful help?
You're not alone.
It shouldn't be possible for help to be unhelpful. It's an oxymoron. Help is only unhelpful when it fails. Humans learn how to help others as toddlers, so we all have enough experience with it that none of us should be failing at it often, yet it's so common for people in helping situations to be unhelpful that it's become accepted or even expected in some situations, often when others need it most.
Something is wrong with how we help each other if it is so commonly unhelpful when we really need it.
We set our minds to figuring out what is going wrong with help.
At HLP Group:
We have developed a novel theory of help that defines and explains the basic principles of help and provides a framework for applying these principles in everyday work/life situations.
Understanding help theory will enable you to restore your power as person in need of help from others (that is all of us!) so that you can receive better assistance when you need or want it,
and it will enable you to empower yourself as a person able to give help (this is also all of us!) to provide better assistance in situations where you are willing and able to do so.
